Established in 2009 by Raleigh-based designer Charlotte Guice, Olly Oxen provides an alternative to an environment where the only option for showing school spirit is covering yourself in logos. Simple, elegant, and designed to move from the football stands to the formal occasion, Olly Oxen's locally made products add personality without defining who you are.

They say you can't go home again. But whether you graduated 30 years ago or three, with Olly Oxen on, it's like you never left.

Olly Oxen has expanded!  We are extremely excited to announce that we are expanding to more colleges! We are proud that we will be offering more products in the Collegiate Collection in addition to NC State.Also, we have been working hard to expand our State Pride Collection (SPC)… some of the new tour visors have been posted on Facebook and those are just a sneak peek of what’s to come! Hint: in our SPC expansion, we decided to “geaux” as far south as to where Charlotte, owner/designer, was born. Check back with us on Friday for the latest edition of Free Friday!

I’m excited to be participating in two events/exhibits this week that are side efforts of NC State’s annual Art to Wear (A2W) show. The photos above show the display of the NCSU Wolfpack line from Olly Oxen’s Collegiate Collection. This display can be found at DH Hill library on the main campus of NC State. In addition to this, we will also be a part of the “Designer’s Showcase” during the A2W show tomorrow night. It’s wild to think how far things have come… just 3 years ago I was a designer in the show. I started Olly Oxen only a few months later and tonight I will be selling my products and designs at that same show… 


In Spring 2009 I juried into and exhibited my work in the annual A2W show, along with 11 other designers. This show, which had over 4,000 people in attendance, is a collaboration between the College of Design and College of Textiles at NC State University. In college I focused a lot on metalwork, sculpture, and fibers. Thus, I created my collection “Nesting”, which features sculptures for the body. You can view the collection on my portfolio website here. Now, A2W is still a huge success and the show is tomorrow night at Reynolds Coliseum on NC State’s campus. Spring Tailgating!

There is an exciting event coming this Saturday for all wolfpack fans… the annual NC State pre-season Spring football game in honor of Kay Yow! All of us at Olly Oxen will be celebrating this early taste of fall and football by tailgating before the game and wearing our red and white products. If you’re going, be sure to visit us near the stadium- we’ll be flying out flag and eating bbq!
